We love our challenges, and those challenges keep us on our feet (literally!). It is already the end of Week 1 and I have lost 2% Body Fat since I started. My goal is to reach 14% Body Fat and a weight of 61kg, although the weight target is flexible as I am sure I will gain lean mass in the process.
This time around I am keeping my food clean, but I am not necessarily going on a food plan. I want to see how eating a clean normal meal would affect my body as I intend to transform that into my lifestyle, adopting the 80/20 rule rather than a yo-yo kind of eating style. Maintenance is always harder that achieving the goal, so accepting and adopting a way of eating works better for me than alternating plans.
The biggest mistake I see people making around me is the idea that when they are off a plan they go crazy with food (I did that before), I do indulge but now my treats are always calculated. This self-sabotage method doesn’t work for me anymore, now I find that it causes stomach upsets that are not worth it.
